Revival’s become my hearts greatest desire.
To see this great Church of ours truly on fire.
Once I’d decided, I just had to do it.
It’s almost too simple. There’s not that much to it.
You have to love Jesus. That’s surely a must.
Your life, you must give him. Your faith and your trust.
You have to’ve accepted his gift of redemption.
It’s, now, only natural, to simply, just mention.
That you were a sinner, once lost but now saved.
How once you were blind and were poorly behaved.
How something was missing, which caused you to search.
In doing so, you’d found this wonderful Church.
Where people are friendly. It’s pleasant inside.
The preacher’s sincere. Not obsessed with his pride.
With messages, solid. No way to deny them.
With lessons on life and the ways to apply them.
Explain how your life has been wonderfully blessed.
And how you would like it, if they’d be your guest.
If not this week, next week. No pressure at all.
Ask them to give it thought. Give them a call.
Once they accept and they plan to attend.
Ask them to bring someone, fam’ly or friend.
Often they will! Sometimes two! Three or four!
Once you convince them to walk thru Christ’s door.
It’s really that simple. Just follow it through.
Does that sound too tough of a service to do?
For someone who suffered, great spikes thru his hands.
A whipping that left him with deep gaping brands.
A crown of thorns, tightly forced, onto his head.
Hung on a cross til, apparently, dead.
Laid in a tomb. Risen up from the grave.
All for your life, which he wanted to save.
Revival’s the message here. Let’s get excited!
Let’s talk to those folks who we haven’t invited.
There’s too many dying, not saved, I’m afraid.
Who never were told that their debt had been paid.
Who never knew hope. Only pain and despair.
Because someone, never, had took time to care.
I’m sure there is someone who comes to your mind.
When you think of lost souls, there are several, you’ll find.
Which only should show us, we have to partake.
In bringing these people. Their souls are at stake.
We’re never quite sure what tomorrow might hold.
Time to stand up for Christ! Time to be bold!
I went thru the math and it blew me away.
If God’s great commission, we chose to obey.
If everyone here, gave this effort their best.
If everyone here, brought, just only, one guest.
The walls would expand to make room for Christ’s spirit.
His voice would resound so that many would here it.
How can this picture not get you excited.
The thought of salvation for friends you’d invited.
Once they’d been saved, you will find your heart warming.
You notice your guest, how their life is transforming.
Next thing you know they are, too, bringing guest.
Due to that invite you dared to suggest.
We have our assignment, let’s have no delay.
Tomorrow’s uncertain. There’s only today!
God’s spirit is here! Let him guide and assist you.
Just be sincere! There’ll be few to resist you.
Jump at each chance to bring someone who’s new.
Bring at least one, next week. Try to bring two!
Let’s see what affect that it brings to our sight.
My bet is “Revival” almost overnight.
