Let’s Start By Learning to Breathe

The element each form of life needs to live.
It’s the oxygen God does so generously give.
Without it we’d die in four minutes, at best.
We do our best breathing when our body’s at rest.

While we’re sleeping, it’s fact we breathe slower and deeper.
I’ve a breathing technique I refer to as sleeper.
While closing your eyes taking breathes good and deep.
Exhaling in rhythm, not falling asleep.

Relaxing each breath as your air you release.
Releasing the tension you’d norm’ly increase.
Taking your mind to a place that’s more pleasant.
Escaping the past and the future and present.

It’s called meditation, for me it is prayer.
God talks when I do this!  I’m much more aware.
I hear his word clearly as my mind slowly clears.
I let go of my stresses; my angers; my fears.

I find peace and calm while continuing breathing.
While peace enters in as the negative’s leaving.
It’s best at commercials to practice this art.
That way, what you’re watching, you won’t miss a part.

Instead you’ll ignore the commercials you’re hating.
You now can find peace while it is you are waiting.
The anxiety caused by commercials torments you.
They make you want things.  Here’s a way to defense you.

Hit the mute button and then close your eyes.
Listen to God, he will make you grow wise.
Breathe deep as you listen, relaxing toes.
Go up as you breathe ‘til you’ve relaxed your nose.

Let go of frustration, commitment, demand.
Ask for the peace that God promised and planned.
Go to a place that brings deep, deep sedation.
A place you once knew that brought tranquil sensation.

In thru the nose and then out through the mouth.
Relax to the North as you start from the south.
In for the count of ten, out—count to four.
Once you have done this, keep doing it more.

Let go of your troubles—think happy each thought.
Work hard on this meditation I’ve taught.
If a show last an hour, eight times, this you’ll do.
It soon will come natural and desirable to you.

It’s all in the rhythm and thoughts that you think.
Every now and then you can feel welcome to blink.
To see if your show is now back on the air.
Unless you’re so peaceful you want to stay there.
